Why do we need to develop self-directed learners?

We need to develop self -directed learners in orders for students to have an initiative and responsibility in their decision as well in their doings. that they individually assess their own learning activities. that it promotes developing the students qualities to achieve them successfully.

As future teachers, how will you help your students become self-directed learners?

 Teacher play a major role in the students that they play a valuable role as one in engaging in self directing learning  to make a smooth transition . As a future teachers,I will help my students to become self-directed learners by engaging them into activity that is well suited or promote to be a self- directed learners. that i would engage activity that requires self-direction.

What student-support materials will you provide your students to help them become self-directed?

The students material that i will provide my student to become self directed by engaging them into activity that promote their responsibility.maybe i would require them to make something that is challenging for them.

a. Which tools do you find useful or appropriate for your subject area? 

I think for my field as a major in BSE- T.L.E the most useful or appropriate tool in our subject area is presentation of video and images or something that could deliver the topic clearly  because our subject area is more on skills and aside of it the very best is demonstrating it in class  like our Professor in our Department usually do.

b. How will you incorporate these tools in your unit plan?

Maybe it somewhat that me and my partner must discuss  of but all the idea that  my mind posses of will be incorporated in our template by proposing it to my partner .

c. How will you use these tools in you future teaching profession?

Will simply I will use it the way my admire professor do but if something different is that I will improve the thing that must have to be improve also I will add up my own styles as a teacher and it must be something that my students will never forget.

a. What are the ISTE standards that you possess? Please cite specific personal experiences wherein you portray such standards?

For me  my ISTE  standard that I posses maybe is Student Collaborator which is in relevance to Global Collaborator I could say that i am open minded in collaborating to everyone  which in fact in this semester I experienced the thing that I scared of as a student which is  I am not with my  classmate that I used it in most of my college life  first I felt shy and nervous but my classmate were approachable that one day Our teacher gives us  a activity in relation to our subject and in a group mate way so at first I am not comfortable to speak out my idea but my student collaboration goes out naturally.  

b. As a future teacher, in what ways can you developed these standard among your students?

Like what I said in my learning log # 1 the first thing I would do is identifying their ISTE standard that they are good at and not,  and I can developed this ISTE standard for my student by enhancing the standard that it must have to and do my part as a teacher to developed these standard for my students.

            a. What are the 21st century skills that you need to develop? How are you going to develop these skills?
          answer:

The 21st century skills that I need to enhance is creativity because as I observed  myself is that my creativity is not as better as my co classmate it just that when i make something that in relation to creation i feel that my work is just good that all i want is better creation in order for me as a future teacher to serve better for my students, I can enhance this skills by participating to the activities that's involves creativity and not just participating but also practicing it because I still believe in a saying that "Practice makes perfect" and in that way I could enhance this skills but except for everything I mentioned It's better to do your very best.

  b. As a future teacher, how will you develop the 21st century skills among your students?
answer:
As a future teacher I will develop the 21st century skills of my students by knowing the spots or the skills that they were good and the skills that they were somewhat lack of , and for the skill they were good at it may just have to enhance it more but the skill that they need to developed i could say that we must focus on or somewhat enhance it more but aside of all of this thing the teacher must do is to  motivate or encourage their students in every way they can do. because  motivation in themselves can not just help you physically and mentally , because every thing that a teacher do is for the goodness of their students.
